Morrissey is quite simply, the Marmite of the music world. He always has been and always will be one of the most controversial artists in the Music industry, and not just because of his super-radical quiff back in the 80’s.

After a seemingly drizzly and dark childhood and adolescence, Morrissey channelled his anger and frustration into just one thing: music. As he was not born into money or fame, he created what he is completely by himself. Thus, in 1982, one of the greatest and most seminal of all rock bands was formed in Manchester. That band went by the deceptively bland name of The Smiths. The band consisted of four members: Vocalist Morrissey, guitarist Johnny Marr, bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce.
